Beauty is in the eye of the beholder?
I have a question for you: if you had to pick the best Beaver and Steve strip based purely on the art work, which would it be? I know that composition, colour and just pictures in general aren't really my strong point, but it would be great to hear what you all think!

A difficult choice as there is a lot of quality to look through in the back issues. Though I would say the last comic was a master work. Powers of Reptilian Empathy was a good panel. The final panel is Pure class. Beavers hand leaving the frame a touch of brilliance.

Any of the ones where all their mates turn up, detail and variety and all that. And the panel where he lifts the magic hat.

Some more thoughts...
One of the main joys & beauties of the comic is the expressions on the characters faces. I can draw Beaver & Steve, but I can't put the life into them that you get, or the other characters.
Using the last strip as an example:
Destructosaur. Stomp Stomp (look at his legs) Anger, Rage (look at his face) Even the back of Beavers Head is expressive. He's obviously worried/Panic stricken.
Then we get Serious Steve.
Do I really need to go through the next four frames & describe the expressions on Destructosaurs face in each panel? Nah. It's bloody obvious.
Right.
Take all that over analysing & apply it to all the other comics. Even all the way back to Steve being suffused with love (Lice)
Bloody hell, Even the animated Aztec sculpture that had the icecream, had personality in his face.

Whilst this is not strictly related:
I was wearing my Shoes - They are Like etc tshirt today, when I visited the local branch of HSBC. The woman at the desk commented "I like your tshirt!" to which I replied "Thank you, it's what I always wear to see my bank manager".
She then proceeded to relate a tedious story about a tshirt she got from the natural history museum, but I think the point has been made: Everyone likes your tshirts.
Can I have a commission please?
